I started this blog at the beginning of 2012 as an incentive to undertake a 365 project – one photo a day for a year. Work and other commitments had kept me from regularly picking up a camera prior to this so I hoped this would be a way to get back into the photo taking groove. I was dubious that I’d keep it up past the one week mark, hence the title.
Since completing the 365 project I’ve been trying my hand at shooting film. Armed with a couple of old cameras, a cheap scanner, and lots of secondhand film I kept to a mostly analogue process through 2013. I’ve recently come full circle embracing both a digital and analog work flow, the digital shots finding their way to this site and the analog frames being posted over here.
For 2014 I’m planning on trying my hand at a personal project in which I can shoot both digital and film. Mundania is an attempt to capture some form of interest in everyday, mundane objects.
