#222 of 366 – fields of flowers

I was talking with some friends in a car park this afternoon and noticed this patch of flowers in a nearby field that was buzzing with bees. I tried to capture a lone bee that was sucking pollen from the flower in the foreground but I was too slow and had to watch him fly away. A sky full of clouds in the background made the picture worth taking despite the lack of a buzzing subject. I grabbed a couple of frames of the scene on black and white film as well – now I have to impatiently endure a couple of weeks wait to finish the roll and get the shots developed.

On the walk back to the car I looked down and saw the flowers above. They were scattered throughout the field looking like they had rained down upon the grass.
