#260 of 366 – snips & snails & puppy dogs tails
Update:
I took a couple of shots on film of my messy mini me and got the roll back today. Here’s the same grot boy in colour looking just as guilty.
#236 of 366 – face
Things have been a bit crazy today and I didn’t get a chance to get out to take a photo. Some days you just need a snap of an old toy in the dark to fill in the blanks.
#53 of 366 – plastic perspective
A green wormhole leading to a pink paradise?
A pink kaleidoscope with a dash of green?
A pink stadium?
A home to giant pink bees?
Pink eye?
With the festival rolling into town there’s art and interestingnesses springing up over the city. This piece, ‘Air, Air 2012′ by Choi Jeong Hwa is a pile of green and pink plastic wash baskets tied together to form interesting shapes. As you move around them and the park they present all kinds of different viewpoints.
The three structures comprise 15,000 baskets and are tied together with over 150,000 plastic cable ties. For the environmentally conscious out there, when it comes time to pull it apart the baskets are set to be recycled and provided to educational groups for students.
If you’re in Perth during the festival you can find this interesting work in the supreme court gardens on the terrace.
#14 – bionic man
A busy day having fun with the family today and preparing for the little fellow’s birthday party tomorrow so I didn’t have time to grab a picture while out and about. With no photo taken during the day and the hours running out I spent the evening scouring the house for something to shoot but nothing seemed to work.
After almost two weeks of snapping I couldn’t fail on the project so soon so I grabbed mine and my wife’s phones, took a couple of snaps, and grabbed this picture. My attempt at being a bionic man. A bit of a desperate last minute capture but that’s two weeks down now – only 50 more to go…
